If you’re not a Bollywood or Indian film fan, chances are you’ve probably still heard of Amithab Bachan.
Mr Amithab Bachan is one of the most prominent, super-successful acting superstars in the Indian film industry.
In addition, he is also known globally by millions of people around the world, fans and non-fans.
The talent and value he brings on screen, of course, play a big part in his success story.
But I think it’s one other very important thing that is the secret to his success.
It’s his non-stop relentless, day in, day out, “work” ethic since he started his career, over 50 years ago!
Amithab Bachan started his career in 1969 with his first movie. That’s over 50 years of making films.
I can remember, from my childhood, my Dad was a massive Amithab Bachan fan.
I still have vague memories of my Dad settling down on an evening with an Amithab movie, after his Indian restaurant work shift.
Just googled how many movies he’s made, google says at least 195!

Amithab is now 80 years old, and still making movies! That is just astounding and so inspiring.
I haven’t researched how many unsuccessful and successful movies he’s had, but the fact is he is super successful.
Yes, maybe he’s had his ups and downs in his career, like in all careers and professions of people.
But Amithab has just kept on going, “chipping away” and creating movie after movie, even to the present.
I think the lesson here is that, whatever profession we’re in, many opportunities can come for us to take and build ongoing success through our lifetime.
Success can come in numbers and quantity, as I have learned from the success of Amithab Bachan.
So, I think if we want to attain sustainable successful with longevity, then we must keep on moving and working.
Also, not just working but, progressing in the work that we do.
We must keep going from the start, to the present and in to the future, until.
Until, we know deep in our heart, that this is it, I’ve done the best I could.
I’ve taken all the opportunities and chances that life gave me.
And I’m thankful and grateful for everything.
The time has now come, to take my well deserved rest.
